Up and at it...#amwriting

So, I had a death in my family and took yesterday and today off. The funeral is in a few hours and I was unable to sleep. I woke up around 5:30 with a burning need to write and my characters were pushing me to get back to them. So, even though I should be resting with my husband whose sleeping comfortably, I'm up and writing. I've learned that for me, writing is my escape when pain is unbearable. I don't have an understanding of death but in this moment, I have an understanding the unexplained is just that...unexplained. I'm up and I'm writing. Y'all pray for me and my family as we go through today and the days to come. Loss is hard on every level. This one was sudden but I understand that God doesn't make mistakes so we'll make it. Back to my grind before I have to shift gears.
