Sick but writing

So, I've been sick practically all week and I got up this morning with good intentions. I just knew that I would be sitting at my computer all day letting the words flow. Well, that didn't really happen. I mean I got up late, and yes it's Saturday but I'm normally up even on the weekends by 6am. Yeah, not today I barely crawled out of the bed at 10am. But I forced my sick body up and out of the bed so I could write. That is proving to be a challenge, I mean who attempts to write when they should be in the bed under the covers sipping on tea and soup? My head feels like it's in a fog, my nose is clogged, my ears hurt, my head hurts, and my eyes are strained to the point of pain. So, why am I attempting to write?
Mainly because I think I should be after not writing all week. I was business productive but not writing productive so I'm telling myself that I need to get down some pages to make up for the lost time. But who's lost time is it really? I mean, why am I putting this pressure on myself? I mean if I don't publish my next book in January like I intended, it really is ok. So why the push to write while I'm sick? Another reason...my characters won't shut up even in my clouded sick brain. They have the nerve to be telling me that they have things to say. Just a few more paragraphs and I'm off to bed.
On another note, I just hit 30k words and I'm excited to be getting closer to my word count goal. So there's that positive. And two of my favorite authors published books that I've been waiting on. So, while you wait for my next book. Check out Let Me Free You by Alexandria House and In the Ring 2 by Perri Forrest. Alexandria House's book is a part of her McClain series and if you haven't been introduced to the series, you're missing out.
And In the Ring 1 is also available and should be read before book 2 by the awesome Perri Forrest. If you like boxing, you'll love Dario. And he's hot with a fierce protection for his woman.
Well that's all for now. Chat later.
