Saturday Excitement

Been up and writing since, 7ish and I hit my word count for today around 9:30am. I'm so excited because I'm exceeding my own goals today. I set out to knock out another 3500 words by the end of the day and I hit and currently exceeding it and it's only a quarter till 11am. I'm feeling so excited that I posted my first excerpt for the book. It was just too good to keep to myself. I'm having fun with Alaina and Brendyn. I started out thinking that I was going to remove the pressure of total word counts from myself, so I set a word count goal of between 35k and 45k words and right now I'm knocking at 40k with more story to be told. So, I'm letting these characters do what they want to do. After all, it's their story so they should have total rein over it. I also try and figure out what my writing comfort zone is in terms of words but at this point, it's whatever. As long as the story flows, I'll keep writing. When they feel like they've said enough then I'll wrap it up and type "The End" until then...
