Author Woes...

How is it that a story you've been building for months can suddenly turn to shit? I'm over 51k invested in my current book and last night I was tired and decided that I was going to end the story. Well guess what? My characters rebelled and threw things at my brain that made me feel as if I had failed them. And of course, that would mean that readers would be failed. I can't have that so I shut down my computer and went to bed. After all, I'd been up since 3:45am. I went to sleep at 6:30pm but I tossed and turned all damn night. Woke up at 4am today and guess what my characters told me that I had more work to do. Without rereading the story, I came up with 11 things that I hadn't included so that means I'm going to be rereading and revising the book until I can effectively give them their deserved HEA. So, much for wrapping up and typing the end this week...
